” We wanted to make an artwork that makes people excited about nature.” – Kristina and Ryan.
Students in the Middle School Art + Innovation program at Taipei American School use the engineering design process whilst experimenting with different media and materials to foster their creativity and bring their ideas to life. This video features one such project created by two Grade 6 students, Kristina and Ryan, as part of the Art+Five senses unit. Kristina and Ryan used a MaKey MaKey, Scratch programming software and other objects to create this interactive art piece.
” Our artwork might not look perfect or glamorous, but it has a handmade feel to it. We want people to touch the leaves and listen to the calm sounds, so they can experience nature and learn to appreciate it.” – Kristina and Ryan
