Stoneleigh-Burnham Excels in Destination Imagination

Stoneleigh-Burnham’s Destination Imagination team has qualified for the Global Finals.

Destination Imagination is a nonprofit that encourages groups of students to work together to learn about the creative process. They choose a topic of interest based on science, technology, engineering, fine arts, and improvisation, and then work together to develop a skit that fits all the criteria.

The SBS team of four seventh graders — Julia Shulman, Amalia Rubinstein, Victoria Malcolm, and Elizabeth Musselman — took third place in the statewide tournament on April 1 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. This qualified them for the finals, which will be held in Knoxville, TN in May.

At the regional competition on March 26 in Chelmsford, MA, the SBS team earned the top prize in Middle Level Fine Arts.
