Old Trail School Students Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week

Old Trail School students will be celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week in February. Random Acts of Kindness week (#RAKWeek2017), February 12-18, is an annual opportunity to unite through kindness.
This seven-day celebration was created in 1995 and demonstrates that kindness is contagious. It all starts with one act – one smile, one coffee for a stranger, one favor for a friend. It’s an opportunity for participants to leave the world better than they found it and inspire others to do the same. Click here for the RAK video.

The School’s Peace Club is sponsoring the event and students in the Club will be encouraging random acts of kindness with posters of suggested acts of kindness throughout the School. Peace Club members will also act as “ambassadors” to encourage their classmates to get involved. The events will kick-off at the Head of School Assembly on Tuesday with students describing how to encourage people to complete random acts of kindness. Students will also be documenting these acts in sharing in an attempt to become the “Nicest School in the World”.

The Peace Club was created this year as an opportunity for all Old Trail students to be a force for good in our School. Open to all students, the Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month where talk about different ways they can spread peace throughout the School.

Does your school do something similar?
