Walker’s Middle School Students Give Back to Children in Need

This year, middle school students at The Ethel Walker School have been supporting The Village for Families and Children, a non-profit agency that helps vulnerable children and families in greater Hartford, Connecticut. Through bake sales, students have raised money to support field trips and food for the children that The Village serves.

The Village’s Director of Extended Day Treatment Programs Melissa Lambert recently visited the Walker’s campus to deliver homemade thank you notes from the children. She also spoke with students about how donations are spent, and how things like backpacks, healthy snacks, and outings are just a few of the ways that The Village helps impoverished children in Hartford.

The Ethel Walker School is an independent college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades six through 12, located in Simsbury, Connecticut.
